Who We Are
As an eleventh grader in New Mexico, Lola founded Lupus Kids. A proud Lupus Warrior, Lola became sick with Lupus when she was nine but was not diagnosed until age eleven. Over the years, Lola has received numerous treatments and her disease is now well-managed. One of the things that struck her when she was first diagnosed was how there was no information specifically geared to children with rheumatic disease. Lola hopes to change that with Lupus Kids and give kids in New Mexico and around the world a hope for a healthy future. Lola is a student at the University of Southern California where she is studying Pre-Med and human health with a focus on environmental science. She also loves photography, writing poetry, theater, and scuba diving.
